Cross Hill

Cross Hill stretches 667 metres high and offers a wonderful view of the entire area, including Adršpach and the famous rock formation, The Lighthouse. If you happen to be lucky with the weather, you can even see as far as the ridge of the Giant Mountains!

What is interesting about Cross Hill?

  • Cross Hill got its name from the way of the cross, which has lined the path
  • There are 14 stops along the path, which have been chiselled into the rock walls.
  • At the top of the hill, you’ll find a large green cross from 1857.

Beneath Cross Hill, not far from the Way of the Cross, a statue of St. Wenceslas can be seen. Written on his pedestal, there are two German inscriptions. The first is of Wenceslas and Barbara Rossmann, who had the statue built in 1802. The second inscription belongs to the Wonderful Baron (Baron Nádherný), who had the statue repaired in 1937.
