Come discover the beauty of the chateau that has already stood in Adršpach for hundreds of years.
You will learn what life was like in the days of the Wonderful Baron, what the local spinning school looked like, as well as how sandstone climbing originated in the area.
In place of today’s chateau, a fortress originally stood, which was founded by the Berka z Dubé family in the 15th century. At the beginning of the 17th century, the chateau was expanded by Adam Bohdanecký of Hodkov. We can then thank the Nádherný family for reconstructing the chateau in 1886 and turning it into what we recognize today. The chateau belonged to this family until 1945 when they lost it due to the Beneš decrees.
The chateau also served as accommodation for apprentices of the textile factory and later as an archive. In 2013, the town of Adršpach purchased the chateau, had it reconstructed, and opened it to the public a year later for the first time.
